On March 10, 2012, the Milagro CoHousing Community’s Ecological Education Committee & the Electromagnetic Safety Alliance presented an Educational Workshop on Electromagnetic Radiation: An Expert presentation on radiofrequency/microwave radiation emissions, how to measure and mitigate EMF sources to  assure health and safety are protected.

On Sunday, July 17, 2011, we held a Public Forum entitled Smart Grid and Wireless Broadband Infrastructure: Protecting Health & Environment from Electromagnetic Radiation in Tucson, Arizona.

The program featured prominent EMF researchers and policy experts:

  • Magda Havas, PhD. Canadian Environmental Scientist, Trent University Canada
  • William Bruno, PhD., Biophysicist, Los Alamos National Laboratory, New Mexico (whose opinions expressed were his own and not necessarily those of his employer.)
  • Two representatives from Tucson Electric Power – Joe Salkowski, Director Corporate Communications, Unisource Energy and Tucson Electric Power, and Jim Taylor, Director of  TEP’s  Automated Meter Reading Program (AMR.)
  • Elizabeth Kelley, MHA, Director, Electromagnetic Safety Alliance, Inc., and Co-Coordinator of Arizonans or Safer Utility Infrastructure.
